She uses a combination of traditional drawing methods followed by a digital process to explore the placement of elements within the image and colour combinations. Carla has studied and performed dance with numerous teachers and choreographers worldwide and worked as an independent movement photographer for many companies. At Shadbolt, Polly teaches pencils, paint and plasticine to preschoolers and art classes for older children and adults. Ross blends paint, wax and resins with both modern and historical photographic processes. Her training includes clowning, puppetry, mask, circus arts and dance. Ian developed an early visual interest in the watercolour medium due to the works of Franklin Carmichael and Toni Onley.
