Sister Jovita received all of her sacraments and elementary education at St Stanislaus Parish in St Louis. In St. Louis, Father Dunne was looking for Sisters to staff and operate Newsboys Home, an institution for unwanted and neglected boys. From 1997 to 2007, she continued providing support services to elderly in Guttenberg through volunteer work at River Living Center and St. Marys Parish. Her family then moved to Brookfield, Wisconsin where she attended St. John Vianney School. In eighth grade she shared her call with her parents, who were very supportive. Upon retiring, Sister Ladonna continued to share her gifts as a volunteer treasurer for various organizations locally and nationally, including the Washburn Neighborhood Association, La Crosse City Vision Foundation and the Archivists for Congregations of Women Religious. During the seventh grade at St. Marys School in Auburndale, Sister Dorothy began hearing a faint call to religious life. She loved her family and had made an extensive family tree. Born on March 18, 1926, near St. Lucas, Iowa, Sister Joselda was the oldest daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Schmitt) Hageman. With her graduate degree in hand, she began teaching Spanish at Woodstock High School in Woodstock, Illinois.
