Rusty was born December 4, 1960 to the late George Mason and Jo Frances Palmer Guilford, Jr. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the funeral home. Sixteenbeloved grandchildren mourn the loss of their Nana LaJean: Haylee Givens, Myra and Kalon Delk, Megan Jones and Ashley Roberts, Chason and Cal Williams, Katelyn and Emily Delk, Allison Parker, Emma Delk and Ella Gilbert, Jack and Max Whitaker, Kinsey Powell, and Kyla Harry. He attended Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Douglas Seay Guilford, Dothan; son, Mason Douglas Guilford, Dothan; two daughters, Hanna B. Guilford Mills (Steven), Cottonwood, Hailey Jo Guilford, Wicksburg; three grandchildren, Dallas Payne Hale, Serenity Jo Taylor, Mackinzie Mills; sister, Melissa Justice (Kip), Hartford; sister in law, Linda Odom (Randy), Columbia; nephews, Zach, Noah, Seth Justice and Chris Odom; niece, Jennifer Odom, several aunts, uncles and cousins. During his career he served in Korea and Vietnam. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Nelson.Surviving are six sons, Eugene Nelson, Bobby Nelson, Kenny Nelson, Billy Nelson, Charles Nelson, James Nelson; a daughter, Kathy Kolmetz; a bother, Johnny Mac Davis; a sister, Winnie Owens; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
